Webinar: Building Envelope Calculations from PDF

Learn how to use basic software on Adobe Acrobat PDFs for accurate building envelope measurements.

Description

Arriving at accurate measurements of a building envelope is an essential skill of an ATTMA Air Tightness Tester, as well as builders and consultants. One of the most common forms of modern building plans is electronic PDF file. It is therefore extremely useful to be able to take these building plans and quickly arrive at envelope area measurements.

Luckily, formidable tools are available to make this task readily achievable. The free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software has a “Measure” tool which can be used to measure dimensions directly on the PDF files. Join us for a brief overview of how to use the software to carry out calculations of building envelope areas.

In order to take this course, you need to have downloaded and installed the free or paid version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (either will work).
