Learn how to use SketchUp software for accurate and more advanced building envelope measurements.
Conducting accurate measurements of a building envelope is an essential skill of an ATTMA Airtightness Tester, as well as builders and consultants. For anything other than simple flat-roofed structures, documenting these calculations can be difficult.
Luckily, formidable tools are available to make this task readily achievable. Free versions of SketchUp software are available, and these have powerful capabilities for calculating surface areas and volumes of anything from simple to complex shapes.
Join us for a beginner’s introduction to using SketchUp software to carry out calculations of building envelope area, such as those used in airtightness calculations.
In order to take this course, you need to have downloaded and installed the free or paid version of SketchUp (links provided with confirmation).
