Pro Clima Australia is running a national series of events to celebrate the release of our unique Australian Study into airtightness and moisture management in our residential building stock.
The study is the culmination of years of research exploring a variety of construction system solutions that are designed to create healthy, resilient and energy efficient housing.
The methodology incorporated comprehensive analysis using WUFI® Pro software. The incorporation of intelligent air barriers (IAB) within framed wall assemblies in Australia emerged as a focal point. The findings revealed that in space-conditioned housing, the integration of IAB’s on the inside of framed walls significantly mitigated the risk of mould across most Australian climatic regions.
The study undertook a deep dive, also providing a detailed examination of roofing strategies, moisture management, and the interplay between roof colour and vapour control. Importantly, it also explores the practical implementation of these solutions in the Australian construction sector.
Our series of launch events will delve into the findings and give attendees the opportunity to interrogate the outcomes and explore the future pathways for Australian residential construction.
